SNOBREAK 2011 Geocache coordinates will be revealed at 10am on Sunday March 6th, RIGHT HERE.
Please take your digital camera and send us some photos of your adventure on this treasure hunt.
This is a cache with a SnoBreak GEOCOIN for first finder. For those who arrive later, there are still lots of surprizes in the cache from which you can choose.
Remember - this is a winter cache so dress appropriately. Because of the poor snow conditions this year, all coordinates are accessilbe by car or snowmobile.
We offer a special thank you to "Volange" and "Mr. Popcorn" for assisting with this geocache event.

What is GEOCACHING?
Geocaching, the most innovative, tech-savvy craze to hit the tourism industry.
Simply put, it is a treasure hunt using today's modernized version of a map: a handheld Global Positioning System Receiver (GPSr). Geocaching is an adventure activity that enables tourists to find amazing remote and scenic locations using coordinates of latitude and longitude. There are over 150 caches in the Central Labrador region. Check out Geocaching or contact our office for more information.
Once you locate a cache, there are a couple of rules. Write the date of your discovery in the log book, take something from the cache to remember your success, and leave something of yours in the cache for the next finder. (There are some restrictions on what to leave in a cache, like NO food or fire starters)
Geocaching is not just for the outdoorsmen, nor limited to one season. This sport is growing as a family activity as well. We encourage families to plan their vacation time "treasure hunting" as they travel throughout Labrador. So tour the heart of Labrador and bring your GPSr, get out there and have fun. (Don't forget your bug spray and sunscreen in the summer, snowshoes and warm woolies in the winter!)
